Starting back with the ice age, and moving on to the First Peoples and the early Dutch settlements, you can see its history in the contours of the land.
I love the Hudson Valley because so many things grow here. It's a great place to learn about our interconnectedness with plants, trees, animals, and living with nature.

The ecosystem — from the bee that's buzzing around us now, to the largest trees in the area — it should be protected because it's a beautiful natural resource.
In a world where water is becoming a limited resource, we have a lot of it. It's fun to explore. That means good fishing, good kayaking, good swimming when it's hot, and I think we're all very lucky to have it.
Access to clean water is a universal right.

We need to preserve the Hudson Valley for the future, for our kids, for the environment. We just have to save it!
Besides the nature, you also have access to great little towns with awesome food, events, and culture.
When you just come here and you see the involvement of people to keep this Hudson Valley going, that passion is what attracts me here. Humans don't live on islands, they are part of nature.

The Hudson Valley is an open classroom for me where I get to learn about the ecosystem while being able to do a lot of outdoor activities. We need to be able to share this with generations to come and to protect the fragile ecosystem we call home.
